Xiaomi Launches New Budget Phone With 5020mAh Battery Capacity And High-Resolution Display

Xiaomi Launches New Budget Phone With 5020mAh Battery Capacity in just days after Xiaomi launched its premium Mi 10 Ultra device, Xiaomi showed a phone at the opposite end of the price series – the Redmi 9, a budget phone just launched in the United kingdom.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – If you buy it before August 23, it is even cheaper because the company is offering it at £149 with the Mi Band 4 fitness tracker thrown in too. It will go back to £159 after that, which remains a very affordable price for a smartphone to be.

Now the Xiaomi Redmi 9 is probably the cheapest phone the company provides here, because it costs only £159, less than the Redmi Note 9S and some others at £ 200.

Xiaomi Redmi 9 Specs

The Redmi Note 9 has a display screen of 6.53 inches, with a 2340×1080 resolution. Because a lot of cheap phones have low-res screens, that is amazing at this cost for a smartphone.

There is a Mediatek Helio G80 processor joined by 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage when it comes to internals – not amazing specs, but about what is required for a sub-£200 phone.

But at 5.020mAh the battery is pretty good. It is the most impressive on a Redmi phone we have seen. Saying that the phone could last two days of use, given the middling processor and smaller display in comparison with many different Redmi handsets.

There are 4 rear cameras – a main 13MP, ultra-wide 8MP, 5MP macro and 2MP depth-sensing snapper, with an 8MP selfie camera on the front. Redmi’s Note series have 48MP snappers and 64MP snappers, so the ones listed here are a little low-res, but again the low price is indicative.

Quick Features

  • Palm Shutter
  • Depth Sensor

  • Kaleidoscope
  • Eye Protection
  • 1080p

  • high-capacity battery

Last but not least, there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack and USB-C port here, which might impress some as low-cost phones can usually have a micro USB port, result in a slower charging.

We will run you through the above specs. But it is worth pointing out that we have not tested the smartphone, so we can not guarantee its quality. However, we have tested other Xiaomi Redmi phones and we usually find them on par with Motorola’s G line reliable gadgets. It may earn a spot on our listing of the most effective Xiaomi phones or top low-cost phones when we have reviewed this mobile – and we will remain to see.
