The redmi Note line always offers a great balance between reasonable prices and solid performance and continues with a new brand redmi Note 8 Pro. This year brings the first time in a while that Xiaomi walk with Mediatek chipset. In this case, this is an all-new game-centric SoC Helio G90T.
Elsewhere, the screen has grown by 6.53-inches and comes with a slimmer bezel, both front and rear cameras are enhanced and now 4,500 mAh battery. Let’s look at the key features of redmi Note 8 Pro ahead of our full review.
Our review unit is the elegant gray color as the phone comes in two other probably the most beautiful colors – green and white pearl. Whatever the color, the design certainly feels a notch compared to the model of last year. The curves around the back are more pronounced making it easier to hold the phone. The bevels also give the device a slimmer feel and the largest and most modern screen is ideal for media consumption. While we are talking about the screen was still an IPS panel with a resolution of FHD + and notch waterdrop to 20MP selfie cam.
Going around the back we see quad-new camera setup called by 64MP F / 1.8 Samsung Isocell GW1 main shooter. Keeping the company is 8MP F / 2.2 ultrawide lens with two 2MP sensor for macro photography and depth sensing. Tucked below you will find a fingerprint reader.
Under the hood we have the G90T Helio Mediatek chipset paired with 6/8 of RAM and 64 GB of storage / 128GB. It was our first encounter with the new game’s specific SoC Mediatek and we are eager to see how it compares to the competition.
4500 mAh battery comes with 18W support rapid charging and can be recharged through a Type-C port. Other enhancements include a headphone jack, IR port and FM radio.
Stay tuned for a full review next week.
