In 2018, Oppo’s Find X took the world of smartphones by storm with its seamless design. It was a real miracle and almost two years later the prettiest phone ever made is arguably still. Although we had to wait almost 24 months, Oppo eventually released the brand-new Find X2 Pro with a successor.
The newest Oppo device has arrived at our doorstep in its vibrant vegan orange leather trim which is a exclusive finish and one of the most impressive we’ve seen in recent memory.
Just a look at the specs and you can immediately notice that here you are dealing with a serious device. A curved 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a resolution of 1440p (1440 x 3168), and a fingerprint reader in camera. The Snapdragon 865 SoC has 12 GB RAM onboard and half a terabyte of UFS 3.0 bandwidth.
Already here is a very impressive triple camera system with a massive 48MP 1/1.4-inch main sensor, a 5x optical zoom periscope module and an ultra-wide shooter with 48MP 1/2-inch. 65W fast charging, IP68 security, 5 G connectivity: the list continues and the Find X2 Pro continues to check all boxes.
The battery capacity of 4,260 mAh is generous but we won’t see how it manages the high refresh rate screen and efficient chipset. The phone also comes with the latest version of Oppo’s own ColorOS 7.1 that sits atop Android 10 and offers a noticeably toned down interface with snappy animations and intuitive gesture control.
The Oppo Find X2 Pro is shaping from our initial impressions up to being one of the early flagship crop’s most impressive offerings. Whether or not it is holding up with the likes of the recent flagships Xiaomi and Samsung will be determined in our full review. While feel free to take a look at our initial hands-on.
