We saw the first collection of leaks for the new Huawei MatePad Pro by the end of last month. With its slim bezels and punch-hole screen, it immediately caught interest. Now, the new tablet seems to have passed China’s 3C licensing authority and we’re having a lot of information to discover.
The listing clearly states that the certified device is a tablet that comes with model numbers MRX-W09 and MRX-AL09 that are presumably the variants of Wi-Fi and LTE. Another new piece of information is 40W Huawei SuperCharge support just like the Mate 30 series.
The MatePad Pro will feature a 2560x 1440 pixel screen next to the Kirin 990 SoC and up to 8 GB of RAM, according to previous reports.
Huawei will also provide a smart keyboard that connects with a M-Pen stylus via magnetic pogo pins. The latest leak showed 4-color renders of the MatePad Pro, including white, black, green and orange.
There’s still no news on when the MatePad Pro is expected to make its debut, but it shouldn’t be long now that it’s begun to receive the necessary certificates.
